Not sure what to say?

I have worked in and around the arts my whole life Mary was the most gifted art teacher I have ever seen. I might even say she was the most gifted teacher I have ever known. She found something of value in everyone, and the worst behavior problems blossomed in her classroom. My daughter was her student for four years, and I was fortunate to have become a little bit of a friend. She left the world better than she found it.

2014 we met at Panera, 8 years after Mary was my daughter's Kindergarten art teacher

Mrs. Kingsbury was my daughter's Kindergarten art teacher at Knapp Charter. She had an amazing way of teaching the kids to pay attention to details and produce art far beyond their ability through her talented instruction. We have many pieces of her art hung and we will always remember her with love. Our prayers are with all who miss her!

Mrs. Kingsbury did love her little art students. My boys, all adults now, have sweet memories of her. She was a port in the storm for one of them while he had some adjustment time. Rest In Peace Mrs. Kingsbury ❤ The Frederick Family (Knapp Charter Academy)

Mary meant a lot to me. She taught me how to make her jewelry in order to teach girls in Jamaica. What a bright light she was. I'm sad she is gone.

Mary was so very special to me.
I cut her hair for over 20 years.
She knew a good line and precision
when she saw it!
I loved that! Not only did I have the pleasure of seeing her every six weeks, we grew close over the years.
Mary was my biggest fan and encouraged me in my creative endeavors. I began sewing later in life, Mary bought one of the first tote bags I ever made.
Several months ago she wrote me the most beautiful card, in true Mary style encouraging me...

Mary was my mentor when I did my student teaching through Aquinas College. I became a kindergarten teacher which I could use her many talents. So sorry to read of her passing. Many good memories with her.

Mary was a fellow teacher at Knapp and one of the kindest people I have ever known. She went out of her way to help me and so many other people in countless ways. I had the privilege of of being in the room when Mary came with her art cart to my kindergarten room. I learned so much and always told her she was my first real art teacher! She worked magic with the kiddos and I will always remember her fondly. Her life was one of "sending love."

We will miss most Mary's charm and her wit. Proud to have called her a friend. Our love goes out to Michael.
