Not sure what to say?

I think of Mary often. She was such a nice person with a great sense of humor, and was taken from us too soon.

Mary was a kind person who I enjoyed working with at the Kellogg Eye Center. She was a good pitcher on our softball team, too. I will always remember her smile.

Mary was the kindest person I have ever met. She never had a bad word for anyone and she always found the good in people. She made me want to be a better person.

I worked with Mary in "old" Women's and Mott, then Kellogg in the late 80's and early 90's. She worked with my husband's (now deceased) mother and knew my whole family, being a guest at my wedding along with other coworkers. I loved Mary's wonderful calm demeanor and sense of humor. I am so sorry she did not get to enjoy her relatively recent retirement.... I miss her greatly. My heart goes out to her family in the time of sorrow. She was taken way too early.

Sad to read. Knew Mary and Brian from Slauson days. Great memories

I am so sorry! I had the pleasure of working with Mary many years ago. She was such a kind and gentle person.

Mary at Swisher, Iowa where the Kulhavy family farm was where her mother was raised.

I am so saddened to hear Mary lost the battle with cancer. She was a great lady, friend, mother and family member. She always loved to talk about her entire family and was so proud of everyone. She often told me she was the mother hen, watching over her flock. Now she has real wings, and is the angel watching over her family and friends. Cousin, I'll miss you.

OH MY MARY! There is a hole in my heart. In a world of growing ugliness and hatred it is such a tragedy to lose such a beacon of love and kindness. God help us all...
You had such a way of making everyone feel that they were the most important person in your life. So much like your mother and I am so pleased to witness that your son Chris has the same loving, giving traits.
May God comfort all the family especially Chris and Kendall with the lovely glowing memories of your sweet soul....

My deepest sympathies are with Mary's family at this time. She was an encouraging, supportive and dedicated employee at the UMHS Cancer Center and always a great co-worker. As a new employee she was welcoming and also a great teacher and trainer in the Registration Department. Her photography was award winning and her love of nature and her family was infectious. Her fun-loving spirit will be missed.
