Mary S. Kohl

Of Wilmington, DE, passed away on Thursday, December 9, 2010 at Christiana Hospital in the presence of her family. Mary was a hairdresser and waitress at several Wilmington salons and restaurants, including Winkler's. She was a member of St. Matthews Church since 1967. Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Adolph J. "Chick" Kohl in 1998. Survivors include her children, Bernadette DeLia (Anthony); Carol Syva; and Jerome Kohl (Elizabeth); her sister, Anna Skura; 5 grandchildren, Anthony DeLia, Jr., Christopher DeLia, Lisa McLaughlin, Gregory Syva, and Christine Krevchuck; 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:30 a.m., on Tuesday, December 14th at St. Matthews Catholic Church, where visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Kirkwood Hwy., Wilmington. The family suggests contributions in Mary's memory to St. Matthews Catholic Church, 1013 E. Newport Pike, Wilmington, DE 19804.
