Not sure what to say?

Joyce was a wonderful neighbor here in Eastmoreland and her garden (never her yard) was an inspiration! She was always very encouraging to us as we worked in our garden and her apt phrase of our overly colorful garden as the "Harlot Garden" still brings a smile when we plant the pinks, oranges and purples together. We will miss her and send our thoughts and best to all of her family.
Blair, Carolynn, Jane and Tanis.

The Koonce family was our next door neighbor in Lake Oswego many years ago. We have great memories of Jim and Jon and their family dog "Bullit". Joyce touched my life in a very special way; she helped me overcome a reading dyslexia problem. With her help I was able to do better in school and I developed more of a 'can do' attitude to life's problems. I will always remember Joyce's smile and infectious laugh - she will remembered with love and affection.

My heart goesout to Joyce's family and friends. She loved you all, and talked prouclly about each of you. I was honored to be her friend for almost 30 years.

Love, and sympathy, Anne Pardington

Our hearts and thoughts go out to all who knew Joyce and will forever miss a very special, unique person. May memories of her love of her family, and of her creative devotion to friends and garden, keep her in our lives and bring comfort in our loss.
