I regret that I cannot attend the memorial service to honor my friend Mary Jean Kruis. I extend heartfelt sympathies to her family. I thank God for her Christian witness, friendship, and the helpful counsel she provided me early in my life.
May the steadfast love of God, which now enfolds her, comfort those who mourn her passing.
