Not sure what to say?

I met Mary Jo at the Friday morning coffee get together at the Kennedy school. She was a pleasure to know. We had great chats and shared laughs. She will be missed.

MJ was one of the first people I met when I moved to Portland over 40 years ago. We have been friends ever since. I will miss her.

I was so sad to hear that Mary had died. To all of her family, my condolences. I worked with Mary in Washington County Children's Services and we became good friends. We continued to have contact when she left CSD, having regular lunches together. I will miss her. Judy Sanders

To Jeanette and family, Mary's Heritage Place family is saddened to hear of her passing. May you all be blessed with fond memories of a life well lived.

MJ and I met in the early 70´s when Tasha´s was in full swing. Later at the Rising Moon we´d have a few beers and she would tell amusing stories about her day, her work and life in general. Later after she and Bridgette were together they would stop at our house on their way to see plays in Ashland. We´ve kept in touch as the Desert Island Group, a group of mostly x- caseworkers. I´m going to miss this low key, insightful woman with a flair for the occasional bow tie.

Mary Jo and I often saw each other in the 1970's @ the women's bars in Portland. We all had such fun dancing and helping with the gay Liberation movement. Later in 2013 or so we reconnected in joining in faith (Faith Group). I will miss her...may our prayers and love flow to the family to help uplift the sorrow in our hearts.

Mary was the best friend anyone could have. She was always ready to enjoy life.

We knew Mary through the early days at Clackamas CSD and remained friends ever since. We were lucky enough to visit Brigette and Mary in Canada one summer. We'll miss her laugh and sense of humor.
