Dear Bob:
It is with great sorrow as I type this message of my condolence to you and your family. It was always a joy to see Mary Ellen at the monthly meetings as she entice me into buying tickets for the 50/50 raffle. Her Grand Irish smile was my only winning prize and that was the best of all.
God Bless you,

To the Laffey family,
When you lose your mother, you lose your best friend. The collective sadness that you will all share is worthy of the impact she had on everyone she touched.
I didn't know her well, but she was always so kind to me when I saw her.
Mrs. Laffey had such a beautiful countenance, Mother Ireland incarnate.
The earth is a bit weaker today, but heaven alot stronger.
Truly a grand lady.

Dear Laffey family,
I lost my own mother 2 years ago, and she was a larger than life figure, not unlike your own mother. The sadness that you will all bear, is a tribute to her motherly love and worthy of her memory.
Mrs. Laffey only knew me through my wife Susan, but she was so wonderful to me. I'll never forget her beautiful Irish countenance; Mother Ireland incarnate.
The world is a bit weaker today, but heaven a lot stronger.
