Mary Moore Lassiter

Mary Moore Lassiter, 85, died peacefully on December 9, 2011 at the Hospice House of Wake County. Mary was born December 20, 1925 in Pitt County to the late Albert Moore and Annie Louise Stancil Moore. She retired in 1984 after 30 years of service with Westinghouse Electric Corporation. Mary and her husband, Russell were longtime members of Knightdale United Methodist Church and she recently had become a member of Faith Baptist Church. Burial: Knightdale United Methodist Church Cemetery, First Avenue, Knightdale, NC. Surviving: Daughters: Barbara Richardson of Zebulon, Diane Boyette of Wendell Grandchildren: Brian, Cal, and Kristin Richardson of Zebulon, Jennifer Hinnant, John Boyette of Wendell, Laura Boyette of Wake Forest 11 Great-Grandchildren 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren Sisters: Jean Stocks of Fayetteville, Hazel Starling of Fuquay-Varina In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Russell W. Lassiter, a daughter, Brenda Lassiter, two brothers, Bud and Carl Moore, and two sisters, Edith Bunting and Mildred Tingen. The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, December 11, 2011 from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service and Crematory and other times at the home of her daughter, Diane, whom Mary had been living with at 401 Lemon Pepper Place, Wendell, NC 27591.
