Mary Jane Leary, 75, W. Jefferson St., Jefferson, died unexpectedly Saturday morning at her residence.

She was born January 12, 1930 in Greenville, PA, the daughter of Arthur A. & Lena M. (Rhoads) Reigelman and has lived in Jefferson since 1961, moving here from Glen Burnie, MD. She was a 1947 graduate of Penn High School in Greenville, PA. She was married to Lewis W. Leary on November 24, 1951 in Greenville. The Leary’s lived several years in the Jamestown & Greenville, PA area.

Mrs. Leary was a member of the Jefferson United Methodist Church. She did baby-sitting in her home for many years for numerous Jefferson area families, she had a green thumb, able to make anything grow, she did canning, was an avid sports fan, enjoyed family outings and being with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Lewis W. Leary, her mother, Lena M. Reigelman of Jefferson, four sons, Gregg L. (Lynn) Leary of Jefferson, Brad J. (Teena) Leary of Warren, PA, Sid D. (Sandy) Leary of Jefferson & Jeff L. (Dawn) Leary of Conover, NC and eight grandchildren, Sean, Caitlynn, Jennifer, Chelci, Emily, Michael, Megan & MacKenzie.

She was preceded in death by her father, Arthur Reigelman.

Calling hours will be held Monday from 6-8 P. M. at the Fleming Funeral Home, Inc., 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson

Private funeral services will be held with the Rev. Meredith Coleman of the Jefferson United Methodist Church officiating. Cremation will follow the services at the Family Care Group Cremation Center. Memorial contributions may be made to the Jefferson Area Little League, P. O. Box 69, Jefferson, OH 44047 or to the Jefferson United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 125 E. Jefferson St., Jefferson, OH 44047, envelopes will also be at the funeral home.
