When I was maybe 6yo I became friends with Mary and Ben. They lived right across the street. I spent many times at their house for over a decade. She was closer than a neighbor, more like a beloved aunt. At 16, she was the head nurse during my emergency gallbladder surgery. Right bf I was anesthatised I saw her face and knew I didn't have to worry. But so much more...she will be sorely missed.
