Charleston, SC - Mary Margaret Limehouse, 87, entered into eternal rest on the afternoon of Saturday, August 3, 2013. A native of Charleston, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Earl and Marian Jennings Limehouse. Mary was educated at Sacred Heart parochial school, and worked as a courier for a retail drug store. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church from birth until 1969, when she joined Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
Mary Margaret was a member of the South Carolina Physical Handicap Society, Chapter 3142, and she served as Queen in 1987 and again in 1990. She was also the Outstanding Female for the chapter in 1988. A fun-loving lady, Mary enjoyed Bingo and regular monthly lunches with her friends. A loving person by nature, Mary adored children and animals, especially "Lucy", her beloved black lab.
Mary Margaret is survived her son, David Cooper of Napoleon, OH, 3 grandchildren, Ashley, Sunny, and K.C., 2 great-grandchildren, Annabelle and Cooper, her sister-in-law Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Limehouse, 3 nieces, Linda Jowers and husband Henry, Nancy Morrow and husband David, and Deborah Peeler, 4 great nephews, Michael Black, Jennings Morrow, Griffin Morrow, and Kyle Peeler, and 3 great-great nieces and nephew, Davis, Megan, and Addison Black, and several extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert C. Limehouse.
The relatives and friends of Mary Margaret Limehouse are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM Wednesday, August 7, 2013, from Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 5 Teresa Drive, Charleston. The Rite of Committal will follow at Summerville Cemetery, Boone Hill Parkway, Summerville. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening between 6:00 and 7:30 PM at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home, with the Rosary at 7:00 PM. Online condolences may be offered at www.jamesamcalister.com. Mary Margaret was a sweet and lovely lady. I know that she will be sadly missed by us all. I would always call to check up on Mary Margaret. Betty, I know that I told you that with Mary Margaret's passing her, Moma, and Lagree are having a great re-union up in Heaven. God's speed

Mary Margaret was an exceptional individual. Always with a smile and ability to laugh. She contributed much to the family with her strength and determination to the betterment of all who knew her. It is with deep sadness that I express my sympathy to all of you who loved and cared for her.
