Mary J. Lyczak, 89, of Crosswicks, passed away Thursday, March 13, 2014 at her home. Born in Cornwells Heights, PA, she grew up in Fallsington, PA and later moved to Crosswicks in 1950. A member of St. John's Church in Allentown, Mary loved spending time with her grandchildren, taking care of her family and hosting family gatherings. She enjoyed working in her garden, growing flowers, especially roses. Mary was also a talented seamstress who often made her own clothing and loved to bake and can fruit and jams.

Daughter of the late John and Victoria Gancarz, she was predeceased by her husband, Alexander J. Lyczak, Sr. Mary is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Alexander J. Jr. and Mary Lyczak of Yardville, Stephen Lyczak of Hamilton and Michael and Janice Lyczak of Morrisville, PA; her grandchildren and their spouses, Matthew and Rebecca Lyczak, Martha and Michael Schneider, Elizabeth and Jorge Montero, Peter and Megan Lyczak and Kevin Lyczak; a sister, Jennie Twaron of Texas; five great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 am on Tuesday, March 18th at St. John's Church. Interment will follow in the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 7-9pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Church, 1282 Yardville-Allentown Rd., Allentown, NJ 08501.
