MACDONALD, Mary Ann - Of Grand Blanc, age 91, passed away Friday, February 3, 2023 at her residence.


Funeral service will be held 11am Thursday, February 9, 2023 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,


Reverend Dan Bowman officiating.


Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.


Visitation 12-3pm and 5-8pm Wednesday at the funeral home.


Mary was born in Flint, Michigan on November 14, 1931, the daughter of the late John Thomas I and Harriet (Silcock) Lee. After graduating from Flint Central High School, Mary went to work at the offices of General Motors. She then stayed at home to raise her four children. She later became a real estate agent with Century 21 and then was employed with Kelly Services at GM SPO. At the age of 60, Mary became the office manager for Classification & Flotation Systems, Inc(CFS) where she worked until the age of 70.


Mary was the center of her family, a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend. When in her presence you always felt special and loved. Mary had a passion for sports providing the opportunity and support for her children and grandchildren to excel in their sports of choice. She never missed a sporting event or dance recital.


She also enjoyed antiquing, sewing, gardening, and interior decorating.


Surviving are children, Michael MacDonald, Patrice and husband Wayne Adams, Lori, and husband Michael Owen, and Matthew and wife Regina MacDonald;


grandchildren, Sarah, Ashley, Patrick, Kyle and Ashley, Teagan and Anthony, Nicholas;


great-grandchildren, Harper and Elliot;


and many special nieces and nephews.


She was preceded in death by her sister and best friend, Helen Austin, and brother, John Thomas Lee II.
