Mary Jessie MacDonald

The Cape Breton music world has lost one of it's giants and the world has also lost a very elegant woman. I have admired Mary Jesse for years for her talent and for the great contributions she has made to our culture. Her music will live on through recordings and she will continue to be a role model in this genre. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends. I regret I cannot offer my respects in person, but please know that I am with you all in spirit.

Sympathy to the family of Mary Jessie From the MacMaster Family of Boston and Judique. She was a grand person and a Master of the Music. She will be greatly missed by all who had the privilidge of knowing her throughout her life.

I was saddened to read about Mary Jessie's passing. I'm sure she has gathered her mother, Uncle Angus Chisholm, and a host of other Celtic fiddlers, in heaven, for a terrific session. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
