Send FlowersMary Leona Maxwell, of Hoover, passed away Thursday, September 13, 2018, at the age of 88. She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Maxwell. She is survived by her daughter, Kaye Hurley (Bruce); her son, Billy Maxwell (Sandy); 4 grandchildren, Justin Hurley, Kristen Dudley (Kyle), Maggie Maxwell, and Jason Jones; a great granddaughter, Nora Dudley; and a sister, Fay Bradley. The family will receive friends from 9:30 - 10:30, Saturday, September 15, 2018, at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150 in Hoover. Graveside service will follow at 10:30 in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.

Kay and Billy and family,
Phillip and I are so shocked and feel so sad to learn of the death of their mom, Mrs Mary Leona Maxwell. And our other family members as well when we learned of this sudden death.
We both have such good memories (when Kay and Billy were in Chelsea High School and later) of breakfasts (Mrs. Leona's biscuits) and so many more wonderful memories.
