Mary Myers McGregor CHARLESTON - Mary Myers McGregor entered into eternal rest May 7, 2010, at her home peacefully in the arms of Jesus. Mary was the loving wife of Hugh F. McGregor and the loving mother of Hugh McGregor, MD of Los Angeles, California, Katherine McGregor-Ouzts of Mt. Pleasant and Phyllis McGregor-Neasham of Fredericksburg, VA. Mary was born December 21, 1924, in Charleston, SC. She was the daughter of the late Azalea Syles Meyers and John C. Meyers. During War World II, Mary and her husband lived in New York where Mary worked for the American Red Cross. Other than being a wonderful homemaker and mother Mary was partners in the McGregor Supermarket from 1945 - 1962, Vice-President and Treasurer of McGregor's Builders and Realty Company and Mary was founder of McGregor's Art Gallery. She was a life long member of The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd. In later years, Mary was a life-long volunteer at St. Francis Hospital and dedicated herself to helping others. Her son-in-laws are Richard M. Ouzts of Mt. Pleasant, Jon D. Neasham of Fredericksburg and B. Cabal of Los Angeles, California. Mary is survived by her sisters, Hazel Cotton and Irma Lee Harper and her brothers, John C. Meyers and Herman Meyers. Mary was proud to have enjoyed her 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. May her loving eyes always be on us and I ask God to take care of her until we all meet again. May she rest awhile - the path is so long - holding your hand makes it easier for all of us.
