Not sure what to say?

Aunt Sis was the Matriarch of the Bowen/McNamara families. She was the youngest of nine children and she lived longer than any of her eight brothers.

She was my Aunt Sis for almost sixty five years so I can attest to her being a human dynamo. She was perpetual motion. She could work harder and longer than anyone I ever knew.

Her day usually began with early mass at St. Gabriel's or some other church. She made the rounds.

Without a doubt I can safely say that...

Sis was an important figure in my boyfriend's life (Michael McNamara) and because of that she meant a lot to me. Not only because of who she was to Michael, but because she was a great woman. I liked having her around because she always had something good to say to me. Also because she would always put Michael in his place. Sis was always very thankful for everything and anything I did for her and that meant a lot to me. She was a very nice and well respected woman and I will miss her...

One of my fondest memories of my Aunt Sis was was her saturday night visits when I was a kid. She would pack us all in her car and treat us to ice cream or dinner at White Castle. I'll never forget those warm summer nights sitting in the back seat of her car along with my brothers and sisters and my three cousins. Aunt sis was a great lady and a loving Aunt and Godmother. She lived her life to the fullest and did what she was happy doing. She will be missed by all.

Sis, you were one-of-a-Kind. I'll never forget you.

Aunt Sis was my grandfather's brother,Daniel Patrick Bowen, who died in 1956. Even though she had many nieces and nephews she never forgot us. But that was Aunt Sis. My parents were visiting my house for a few days and Aunt Sis stopped by to see my father (Thomas Andrew Bowen) grandpa's only child. Dad had tears in his eyes - she stopped by just to see him. Dad died in 1989 Aunt Sis was there to help us bury Danny's only son - her Tommy. My whole family is so sorry for your loss. She will...
