Not sure what to say?

It has been an honor to know her.

My deepest sympathies to Leslie, Norm and Lana. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers. For as long as I can remember, Mary and my Mom have been best friends. Bowling, neighbors, travel partners,Elks and breakfast, lunch and dinner companions.
May the love of your family and the strength of your friends help you through this difficult time.
I am just sorry that I could not be there today.

Linda Boje Daugherty

Dear Leslie and Family,

We always enjoyed being with your Mom on her trips to Vail Colorado and seeing her in FLorida. Please accept our sincere sympathy.

April 3, 1948 Ellen and Bill Keck's Wedding

Mary Katherine's death has been very sad for me. Although mom and she were first cousins, I think they thought of each other as sisters. They were maid of honor in each others weddings and were so close throughout moms life. I think that was one reason why she and I clicked - we both felt a connection back to mom somehow. She was a pioneer in her field, befitting the Emison legacy. She was a beautiful lady and I will miss her dearly.

I just wanted to say that I had the distinct pleasure of knowing Mary and her husband Norm when I worked at the Kalamazoo Elks Club from 1988-1992. A wonderful couple. I just know that she is with her husband once again.

I can still hear Mary's unique voice. She will always have a special place in our hearts. May the support of family and friends, and your favorite memories, bring you comfort in your grief.

Dear Leslie, Norm, and Lana,

I remember with such fondness the times our families shared together, usually Sunday afternoons with the adults upstairs (often eating Nuts 'n Bolts) and we kids playing in the basement. Ron and I still have your old ping pong paddles! More recently, I have so enjoyed reconnecting yearly with your mother over lunch. I will miss those times.

Thinking of you, although we will be out of town for the service.

Fondly,

I want to express how saddend I am to hear of the loss of your Dear Mother and Grandmother. I had not seen Mary in many years but had thought of her often.
Mary held a special place in my heart as she was a good friend to my parents. I met Mary through my mother Elaine Rasmusson as they played golf together at the Elks. My mother thought so much of her. After my mothers passing she was an "angel of mercy to my father" Bernard Rasmusson. Mary often took him out to eat, ran errands with...

You're in my prayers. I have many happy memories of your mother and growing up next door on Dwillard St. God Bless you!
