Mrs. Mary Ezzell Miedema, 94, passed away Thursday morning, April 20, 2006.
Born in Tallahassee, FL, she was a daughter of the late John Frank, Sr. & Mary Harman Ezzell and was also preceded in death by a brother, John Frank Ezzell, Jr.
She is survived by her husband, James F. "Jim" Miedema, former pastor and educator in Georgia and Florida, of Blackshear; a daughter and son-n-law, Mary Jane & James H. Wagnon of Van Buren, AR and God Children, Diane & A. J. Strickland of Patterson.
She served quietly but efficiently in educational organization and as curriculum specialist in churches her husband pastored: First Baptist Church, Terra Ceia, FL; Dice Baptist Church, Weatherford, TX; First Baptist Church, Greenacres, FL; Haverhill Baptist Church, West Palm Beach, FL; Norwich Street Baptist Church, Brunswick, GA and Interim Pastor - Life Tabernacle, Lake Worth, FL. Mary was employed by the prominent law firm of Hamilton, James, Merkle & Young for several years before her retirement. She has been a blessing to all the lives she touched and will be greatly missed.
Funeral services for Mrs. Miedema will be held Wednesday morning, April 26, 2006, at 11:00 o’clock from the Pearson-Treadwell Chapel.
Interment will be in the Laura Chapel Cemetery.
Visitation for Mrs. Miedema will be held Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 pm at the funeral home.
