Mary took me under her wing when I started my teaching at Grant. I spent many hours conversing with her in her classroom after school.she stays in my memory always wearing a knit suit, her hair up and high heels..she was so proud of you both..I am in Riga,Latvia and was unable to come to her mass.So very grateful that I met Mary and Ray..

Condolences to Mary's family and friends.
I was one of those nuns Kay Weaver refers to. While earning my high school teaching certificate, my master teacher was Dorothy Wallin, Mary's sidekick. I treasure our conversations in "the closet" with both of these highly professional and much-admired instructors.

Mary and I were the only lay teachers at St. Mary's Academy in the mid 1960s. The nuns were still in full habit and were not supposed to eat with lay people! So for morning breaks Mary and I had a closet on the second floor as our 'break room'. She was a diligent and inventive teacher. God speed, Mary. Teach those angels how to derive the quadratic formula! Kay Weaver
