Not sure what to say?

Mrs. Mohnacky was a HUGE help for our family when we moved "back home" from Georgia in 1988. My beloved mother was dying of breast cancer and our older daughter was in kindergarten. While I was taking care of my mom, I knew that Mrs. Mohnacky was taking care of my little girl while at school. I told her once that although my daughters own grandma was too weak to give hugs anymore I was grateful that she could be a "grandma-figure" to my daughter and give the hugs that were so greatly needed...

Ms Mohnacky: What a wonderful name and memory. Our son, now age 31, a medic with Cleve Clinic, vividly recalls his principal. He recals special Ms Mohnacky and his special Mrs Potorff. Mrs Potorff would not allow a homeword assisgnment to be handed in unless it was neat and the student was pround of it. That meant neatly written. To this day our son has neat handwriting. But his most vivid memories are the hugs from Ms Mohnacky, given at the entrance of the school every single day. He...

Mary Mohnacky is one of the most influential people in my life and in so many others. When people thought of the quality education Garnett School was known for, they connected it with Mrs. Mohnacky. Her name is synonymous with Fairview Park. She put Fairview's education on the map. She always put students first and valued each one as an individual. The same goes for her teachers. The support and genuine love she gave each day, made teaching at her school the best place to be. The respect...

She put Fairview Park's education on the map.The support and genuine love she gave each day, made teaching at her school the best place to be.The respect everyone had for her came naturally because she was so dedicated and gave 200% to all that she did. She was loved by all and we are all better individuals for having her in our...

If you can read this Mrs. Mohnacky you're family thanked me and my co-workers for escorting your body to it's final rest. They said you would be very honored knowing that you went out that way. To your family I want to say that the honor and privilege was all mine. You were a very special person and I am one of the lucky kids that received your hugs and warmth.

For a shy kid like me, Mrs. Mohnacky was a guardian angel. You always knew that someone was looking out for you. Plus, she had the best costumes at the Halloween parade--Daisy Duck stands out in particular! She will be greatly missed.

I was a student at Garnett from 1976-1981. She had a very special way of connecting with kids! She made our school a fun place to be! It always made your day to get a hug from Mrs. Mohnacky! I will always remember her!

I had the pleasure of working with Mrs. Mohnacky at Garnett School for close to 20 years. She was the epitome of an Elementary School Principal, part administrator, part educator and for the children, part mother and grandmother. She absolutely loved the children who were in her building. Her hugs were often the magic touch needed to calm an anxious child, her stern talking to made certain a student never made the same mistake twice. Mary also had an impact on children who were not her...
