Monday, Mary (Nee Schedler)Mary entered God's loving arms on Friday, June 16, 2006. Finding her calling as a mother and then as a nana/nani. Mary stood for being a mom. Nurturing her children, Jeff (Patty) Monday, Tim (Mary) Monday, Kris (Paul) Brienza and ...Kirby; her grandchildren, Emily, Abby, Miles, Samantha, Nate and Megan, and her precious expected grandchildren; dear sister, Honey; best friend, Susie Mei; and the rest of her large circle of family and friends. Mary's philosophy of life was rooted in fundamental family values.

Mary was a family dinner person, a back-door friend, and a dog lover. She was the captain of her home, a mechanic, a comedian, a knitter of afghans, an unfailing sender of greeting cards, a proudly off-key singer, an extraordinary chef, a knickknack connoisseur, a happy gardener and a lawn mower, a teacher, an MU fan, a person of strong religious convictions, and the best looking person in the annual Monday family Christmas card. Above all else, Mary did more for others than she did for herself.

Mary married her high school sweetheart and lifetime friend, Bob Monday, who is thankful for 41 wonderful years of marriage.

Mary's family wishes to thank Dr. Scott Schlidt and the caring and compassionate nursing staff at the Wisconsin Heart Hospital.

Joyful and full of life, her spunk, quick wit, and hugs will be missed. Visitation Tuesday, June 20, at the Funeral Home, from 4-8PM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday 11AM at Saint John Vianney Parish (1755 N. Calhoun Rd., Brookfield). Followed by a reception for family and friends. Private interment.

In celebration of Mary's life, we ask that you joyfully celebrate the gift of your own family. Memorials to Messmer Prep Catholic School are appreciated.

Not sure what to say?

To the Monday Family and in particular, Jeff,
My deepest sympathy to all of you, especially Jeff. There are no words to assuage your loss. I wish I could have been there for the funeral, but am too far away working and living at the Motherhouse in Sinsinawa, WI. I remember meeting Mary Monday when Messmer Prep just moved to its new location where she subbed for a week in for the Fourth Grade for lack of a teacher. I found her to be a delightful person.
May our good God...

Bob - My deepest sympathies on the death of your wife. Familial responsibilities kept me from attending the Mass and Visitation, I really wanted to be there. My prayers are with you and your family Bob.

To The Monday Family,
Wayne & I were so sorry to hear about Mary. She will be greatly missed. Please accept our deepest sympathy.

Deepest sympathy from all of us in Alumni Relations and University Advancement, Bob. We're having a Mass for Mary in the Joan of Arc Chapel on July 5.

Hi Bob, we are so very sorry to hear of Mary's passing. How blessed you are to have been her best friend and husband for so many years. You and your wonderful family will be in our thoughts and prayers during this time of loss . The obituary was a wonderful memorial to a life so very well lived " for others ". Blessings , Hugh and Katie McManus.

Bob & Family, we call Minocqua God's Country, maybe for good reason. Hope that you will feel close to Mary at the Cabin, and that you come there to heal, reflect and move on while remembering good times. We will continue to hear her voice, laughing with the grand-kids and playing with Kirby.

Mr. Monday, Jeff, Patty, and Miles:
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the entire family at this most difficult time. We are so sorry for your loss. Mrs. Monday was a very sweet and kind person.

Love,
Clay, Patty, and Alexis Moreland
