Not sure what to say?

In the later years, I would call Mar, and she would talk, but get tired, saying it was from work. I am very greatful to God that she was able to make it to my boys 1st Birthday, and to see them in 2006 for the last time when they took their grandson Torren to visit DC. When I called her in Oct 2007 in the hospital, I told her that I knew that she was weak, and couldn't talk much, but I wanted to tell her that I loved her. She told me with a strong voice that she loved me too.

Mary Anne and I were neighbors at View Point... our decks are across from each other. At the beginning of every summer we would pull out our summer furniture and then grace our little wooden decks with some beautiful potted flower arrangement picked up at the local nursery. Now mind you, Mary Anne and I were two of a kind in that we didn't have green thumbs. That became quite apparent by August based on the scraggly pots on both our decks. However, one summer I noticed that Mary Anne's...

I want to start by saying how hard it is to believe Mary Anne is gone and we won't be seeing her walking her two best buddies(not Tom) around the circle..Nothing will ever erase the memory of her attempting to train and control Bailey..which of course he would have no part of..So we will remember her with the "zapper" around her neck and Bailey out of control...Mary Anne often talked of her family, who she dearly loved. Then there was "Thomas"..she always had a small smirk when she said his...

What I loved and will miss most about Mary Anne is her feisty personality and true wit, which, from the exterior, wasn't immediately apparent. But when she got to know you, watch out! Mary Anne was a force to be reckoned with! Mary Anne was a spunky, warm-hearted and loving person. Her indomitable spirit will be sorely missed!

Tom, you are never far from our thoughts or prayers - please know that we are here for you.

How do you choose a special memory from a friendsip that covers over 40 years. As teenagers we shared confidences, dreams, crushes and hurts. As we made life choices we relied on each other for support and comfort. Though time and distance separated us for many years, we still kept that special bond. Each visit I made to Ohio, Mar always found time to spend an evening with me. One such evening, by the grace of God, occured just this past July 4th when I flew in for just a short visit...

MaryAnne,
I will truly miss you. I have so many fond memories, especially our walks for breast cancer. You were a unique individual who made this world a better place.

To have met Mary Anne was to love her. She was such a loving & caring person with a heart and smile that's unforgettable. She helped me in more ways than I can begin to explain. I worked with her at University Hospitals as a co-worker and we instantly became friends. There was so much about her that let others see God's goodness and Love. My prayers and deepest sympathy goes out to Thomas, Jen & Jarrod and the rest of her family and closest friends.

The world is a better place for having had Mary Anne in it, even if only for a short time. Her positive outlook and quick smile made her a pleasure to be with. We worked together for several years at UH where she made a lasting impression on everyone she met and will be missed.

My sincerest condolences to her family and those closest to her.

I was one of many who never met Mary Anne but were touched by the people closest to her. Her family speaks volumes about her. Their respect for one another, their love, their unselfishness and their kind ways have left a lasting impression on me. I met them during a very difficult time in their lives and was so taken by their love and loyalty for Mary Anne and each other. It was truly a privilege serving your family.
