NAU, Mary Edith Montrose, formerly of Flint Age 91, died Thursday, November 5, 2015 at MediLodge of Montrose. Funeral service will be held at 1pm Monday, November 9, 2015 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, Chaplain Steve Hittle officiating. Visitation 2-8pm Sunday at the funeral home. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. Edith was born in Manila, Arkansas on October 14, 1924, the daughter of Ben and Ida (Jackson) Rice and was a resident of the Flint area since 1955, coming from Arkansas. She was a member of Deliverance Tabernacle. Surviving are three daughters, Margie Stinnett of Flint, Nelda Swink of Florida, Terry and husband Jim Chalker of Florida; four step-sons, Jerry and wife Donna Nau of Florida, Harold Nau of Alabama, Robert and Perry; many grandchildren, step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers, Murel Rice, and J.B.
