Read MoreMary Ann Newell was a faithful attendee of the A&R quilting group at St. Joseph´s, where I work. She would always have homemade treats like zucchini bread, and say, "Slow down! Have this with us" and serve me a slice. She loved it when I called her "Kathy´s mom". She looked out for me and she helped our parish through her skilled quilting and never gave up even when it was difficult.
