I shared an office with her at Thresholds from 1994 to 1995, as I completed my second year internship in social work through Loyola University. Mary Ellen was one of the most joyful and creative people I had the pleasure to work and be friends with. Bill and I will miss those blueberry adventures in Michigan where she and you, Bob, made everything fun.

Mary Ellen was a very special lady. She was a joy to work with in politics and was always a very positive person. Bob, you were the love of her life and seeing the two of you together always brought a smile to my face. She will be missed.
