Mary's obituary was a fine tribute to her life for anyone who knew her. I had the pleasure of working with her for seven years at the Stevens' School complex. She certainly will be remembered with fondness. Mary Hall (Spears)

Dear Merry & Oatway Families, My condolences on the loss of the Matriarch of your family... One of my favorite photos of Mary is from a UMF yearbook (back when it was The Normal School) where she is on snow skis standing with other ski club members... Mary was one who's smile just lit up the room... We thank-you for sharing her with us...Peace and Comfort to you...

As a neighbor in East Winthrop and a classmate of her son, Seth, I was fortunate to get to visit her home and take art lessons in the summer as a child. A thoughtful, creative and talented lady! My condolences to Muffy and Seth and their families. I look forward to visiting the preserve someday and am grateful for her legacy.

She provided calm and focus in an environment that was not always an easy place to be for some. I was a day student at...
