Mary Ann Ormes, age 57 of Smyrna, died Tuesday, July 30, 2013.
She was a native of California and was preceded in death by her parents, John and Louise Murphy, and grandchild, Charles Thomas Ormes; brother, Doug Murphy; father-in-law, Thomas C. Ormes. Mrs. Ormes was a member St. Edwards Catholic Church in Nashville, and was retired from Ingram Book Company.
She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Thomas F. Ormes; children, Laura Roark and husband Cory of Old Hickory, Chris Ormes and wife Tracey of Smyrna, Jeff Ormes and wife Kelly of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Jaelynn and Casen Roark, Alexis, Madelyn, Braden, Kyla, Maci Ormes Evelyn Finney; brother, Dennis Murphy and wife Diane, Bob Murphy, Gary Murphy; sister, Sharon Eckhardt and Karen Murphy, all of Califorinia; mother-in-law, Frances Olivia Ormes of Murfreesboro, and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Pastor Paul Chisgar will officiate. Burial will follow in Mapleview Cemetey. Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna (615) 459-3254; www.woodfinchapel.com
Mary Ann was a wonderful person with such a kind heart. I worked with Mary Ann for years at Ingram Book Company. She always dressed so pretty and had a smile for everyone. I was hurt so much with the news that she had passed away. My heart goes out to all her family. I will always remember the sweet and kind hearted person she was.
