Mary F. Pasiewicz, nee Duras, 60, lifelong resident of Lemont, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, and her fur baby Ali, on July 6, 2021. Mary was a graduate of Lemont High School (1978) and Lewis University Nursing Program (1982). She was a Cardiac Nurse for 39 years, and worked at Amita Heart and Vascular and LaGrange Hospital. Mary was the ultimate care taker, she was selfless, always putting others first. She enjoyed gardening and being outdoors, swimming, wellness and fitness. 


Beloved wife of Glenn Pasiewicz; loving mother of Tara (Brian) McFadden and Brian Pasiewicz; cherished daughter of the late Joseph and the late Florence Duras; dearest sister of Debra (Ron) Duras, Sue (Ken) Scott, and the late Joseph Duras; proud Godmother of Andrew and Katie; and fond aunt of many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great nephews. Mary is also survived by many other family members, close friends and colleagues. She will be deeply missed by all that loved and knew her.


Visitation Friday, July 9, 2021, from 2 – 8 p.m. at Markiewicz Funeral Home, P.C. 108 Illinois St. Lemont. Funeral services Saturday, July 10, 2021, 9:30 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Alphonsus Church for Mass at 10 a.m. Interment private. In lieu of flowers donations in Mary’s name may be made to The Life Raft Group www.liferaftgroup.org

Mary was a beautiful lady she was my friend and coworker she was someone you could talk to she had a since of humor she would help you if and when you needed help she was always pleasant. No matter how she was feeling if you needed her she was there I am going to miss Mary her friendship her smile her since of humor I will miss our Tuesday Morning Session where we talked about everything I will miss us going out to our Pod -D Group Dinners. I worked with Mary for several years at LaGrange Hospital although I had left it many years ago. She was a great person! My thoughts and prayers are with her family. What a wonderful and caring person.
