Not sure what to say?

I think of her often and how much a part of our lives she was and is. She´d be pleased that I´m involved with the Atlantic Classical Orchestra. We enjoyed the Hartford Symphony Orchestra with her and Joe and the Spirkos. It means so much to hear from Carol and her family. To still be part of Mary Lou´s life.

Aunt Marylou was the foundation of the family. We miss her very much and our love for her and uncle Joe is forever.

We just heard about her passing through a birthday notification on Facebook. She was a wonderful person and a great neighbor. Who can forget the incredible and creative parties? I also loved working with her on the Public Building Committee. I also recall the time Mary Lou and Joe were brave enough to let me fly them to Block Island for the day! She will be missed.

Mary Lou was a wonderful "one of a kind." She and I had years of volunteer comeradere at SCTV. I valued her friendship and truly respected her "tell it like it is" approach to life. Joe also had given people the option of donating to the Old Drake Hill Flower Bridge at his passing. Jan and I sincerely appreciate Mary Lou's symbol of partnership with Joe by offering the same option. To all her family, "ride on through life buoyed by having experienced her love, caring and commitment to...

Mary Lou and I go back a long way. Not only the same SQL neighborhood but many years at SCTV. Great personality and great role model. A woman who knew her way in the world.

Our sincere condolences go to the family of Mary Lou, a beautiful lady, an icon in Simsbury, a perfect role model for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mary Lou and Joe built a dynasty. The torch has been passed to the children. In sorrow, Magdalen and Glyn Dowden

Deepest sympathies to Joe, Laura, Jim and the entire family.

Mary Lou and Joe Patrina were very special to Charlie and me. I joked that she adopted me into her group. We had many wonderful memories of trips, parties and cultural experiences (Hartford Symphony, Goodspeed Opera House). Mary Lou was never idle and got me involved in many of her passions. Simsbury Arts Council, Simsbury Parks and Recreation Commission. We bought in Florida to be near them on vacation. We have many loving memories.

Diane and I would like to express our deep love and condolences to the Patrina family at this time. Aunt Mary Lou was a loving wonderful kind person who loved her family more then life itself. Our hearts are broken she is gone but she is now with the love of her life, Uncle Joe. We have many fond memories that we will cherish always.
