we were fortunate to have model parents. neither were perfect, but i think they did an incredible job with the challenge of 7 children, and limited resources. what, then, increasingly impressed me about my mother was how she managed to take charge after dad died. from largely never having had to deal with the financial side or the mechanical side of running the house, she did a pretty laudable job of keeping that big ol' barn of a building functioning and ready to accomodate a half doz...

Mrs. Patrizio was an accomplished and kind woman. I remember with fondness spending time at her home on Pennsylvania Avenue. I will keep the whole family in the Light.
