1945 ~ 2013
Paul marched to the beat of his own drum. He was a rooter for the underdog and spent his life, by and large, giving what little he had to unexpected recipients. For those he left behind he leaves many off the wall, humorous, and loving memories.
Paul was the father of Brian Griffin and Jamie (Michael) Mutch, grandfather of Griffin, Olivia, and Brianna, son of Vernile and Lorena Griffin, and brother of Susan Griffin, Janice (Bob) Willis, and Dale Griffin.
At Paul's request services will not be held.
In lieu of flowers, please tip your waiter extra generously, offer up quiet acts of kindness at every opportunity, take every chance to do the outlandish to make a child's day and know Paul lives on and smiles down on you.

Not sure what to say?

Susan, Janice and Dale, so sorry for the loss of a wonderful brother. I remember all the fun times growing up in Rose Park living across the street. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Dale- I believe we were on the West Winds Literary at West High School. We have lived in Paul's ward and neighborhood for the past 30 years and I just made the connection. Paul could touch and teach like few others. I heard of many acts of service he extended. We are saddened by his passing and express sincere sympathy to you and his family, Pam Gunrud/Butterfield

Dale- I believe we were on the west winds literary staff at west high school. I lived in Paul's ward and neighborhood for 30 years and just put the pieces together. Few people can teach and touch like Paul did. He did so much service.
My sympathy to you and your family- Pam Gunrud Butterfield

Nobody could tell a story as good as Paul. Nobody cared the way he did about those whose lives he shared. He spent countless hours giving so others had it better than him. He truly gave Charity in the purest form. Brian and Jamie, we will miss this gentle giant of a man, what he stood for, and how he cared.

We loved to hear Paul's stories. He was a legend in his own right.
Paul was a great friend and a dedicated home teacher. Paul had a huge heart! Paul was a good example of what a true Christian should be. Our hearts go out to his family along with our prayers and best wishes. We will miss our dear friend. R & R Proctor

What a beautiful tribute. I never met Paul in person, but have enjoyed hearing many wonderful and funny stories about him from his amazing brother Lamont. Paul seems to have been the perfect kind of big brother. His humor will live on, Lamont will see to that.

Goodbye my friend! No one ever had a better friend than you. There isn't enough room here to thank you for a lifetime of friendship, especially those growing up years in Rose Park. You made Rose Park a fun and memorable place for us all. Having been the recipient of many of your random acts of kindness, I thank you for your example. I never listen to a Kingston Trio song that I don't think of you. You will always have a special place in my memories. May all the Griffin family be blessed at...

Paul is a great guy and a wonderful neighbor. We miss him already. He always was an example of charity, the pure love of Christ.
