Dear Kathy and Family,

Vic and I are so sad to hear of the loss of your mother and of your father. They are forever together. From your Christmas message it is obvious that the greatest gift your parents have left with you was the gift of love. There is no greater gift. And, you have learned from their precious gift. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Dear Susan and Pfiefer Clan,
Sympathy to you all upon the passing of your mom, Mary. All of us kids who grew up on Flint Way, zigzagged our way thru Dan & Mary's home because of our friendships with all of you thru Riverside, Cal Jr. Hi, & McClatchy... the neighborhood children played in each others' yards.

Mary & Dan were one of our dearest set of "second parents" in the Flint Way neighborhood. I got to see both of them (with Susan) at Grace Ryugo's memorial last year and I treasured that. My brother Bob and I will look forward to seeing the Pfiefer clan tomorrow at the memorial service.

Dear Richard,

I'm so sorry for the loss of your Mother. I will keep her in my prayers and ask God and the Virgen Mary to keep watch over her.

I don't think your dad knew who I was at first because I called myself Dawn. At some point in the conversation he looked at me and said Dawne! It was so cute cause he then made the connection as to who I was...Your...

Over the years, I have been blessed with wonderful loving relationships, beautiful children and grandchildren and genuinely dear friends. Among my most treasured relationships in my life, is the one I enjoyed with Dan and Mary Pfiefer. It has been a genuine honor to know both of them.

After Mary’s stroke without hesitation, not only did they welcome me into their beautiful home that Dan designed and built, but, also to their rather extraordinary lives. I...
