Mrs. Phegley, I thought you were a lovely, sweet woman. I remember the time I was over visiting with my Dad, Clem Cantu, and I admired your little pink rosebush outside your side door. You took a cutting of it, and gave it to me, and told me how to care for it so I could also have roses like yours. I loved that little rose bush, and enjoyed the lovely little old-fashioned roses until we had to give it away to someone who would care for it, as we were moving to Maine and it wouldn't have...

Milt and Rick, it was a pleasure to meet you both and take care of your mother. She raised you well and you both really stepped up when she needed you. I am so sorry she did not get to go to her house here in Eureka but I know she is at peace in her Heavenly Home. One of her nurses at St Joseph Hosp.

Mary: I'm sorry I never got to meet you, but Roy and Dad were ALWAYS talking about you and Jack. They always had nothing but kind words for you. God Bless You. You will be missed.

I met Mary Jane through Jack KE6NEO and Humboldt Amateur Radio Club.

Jack was the Editor for the club’s newsletter and I used to visit and help him with it. I got to know Mary Jane quite well when she was caring for Jack. Jack passed away so we used to visit her now and then.

She was a grand lady and my family just liked her and Jack a lot. We didn’t know she was ill and shall miss her very...
