PLAISANCE, MARY H age 94, died June 12, 2010. She was a resident of St. Martin's in the Pines for the past three years. A graveside service will be held June 16, 2010, at 11 A.M. at Elmwood Cemetery, with visitation one hour prior at Johns-Ridout's Southside Chapel.

Mary was married to my father's older brother George Plaisance. She was a lovely lady, very kind and cheerful. While we were living in Pensacola, my wife Sally and my father and I evacuated in the face of Hurricane Dennis, and went up to Birmingham to stay with her. Sally and I will always have fond memories of Mary.
