Not sure what to say?

Jeff and family, I'm so sad to learn of your Mother's passing. She was an amazing good person and I adored her, had the pleasure of seeing her and your Dad for hair services for many years. God rest her beautiful soul.

Although I never had the chance to meet Mary personally, I had the pleasure of speaking with her son Christopher and his wife Rose. From what they shared, it is evident that Mary lived a truly remarkable life and possessed a truly beautiful soul.

Dear Frank, John, Jeff , Chris and family. I had the privilege of working with Mary on the floors she managed . She was my mentor as an RN on Spellman 4 and a valued friend by the time we moved to SLB4 and Seton 3-1. As our Nurse Manager , she ran a well organized unit. She was always highly professional regardless of any situation that occurred. Mary was so diligent with her care and she never asked her staff to do anything she wouldn't do herself. Her leadership and devotion to duty...

I had the pleasure being one of Mary´s nurses! It was an honor to work under such an amazing professional nurse. May she rest in peace

Mary Ptak was a superb nurse, leader and friend. I worked on a different unit in the 80´s but when I was pulled to her unit she would make me feel comfortable and special. I remember having a patient with Lupus and I recommended a pain pump. Her face lit up like this picture and she had said,"let´s get the doctor to order a pain pump. At the end of the shift she thanked me and gave me a hug. I know that´s a simple thing but it has always stayed with me during my whole nursing career. My...

I was fortunate enough to have met Mary when I was a clerk on Spellman 4. Her leadership, knowledge and friendliness whether on or off the floor was truly amazing. A confident and kind person who was always available whenever needed. Years later after becoming and R.N., Mary became my mentor, it was then I realized just how special a person and nurse she really was!! My condolences to Frank and all Mary's family. Heaven now has another angel and a very special nurse!!!

Mary will always be in my thoughts and in my heart. Being a young nurse in 1989 she brought me in and taught me so much. She instilled a work ethic on her floor that so many of us learned from. She was an advocate for her staff, respected by so many nurses and doctors. I am so proud I was a member of her nursing team and glad I got to know her personally. She´ll be forever missed.. Dear Mr. Ptak, John, Jeff and Chris I am saddened on the passing of Mrs. Ptak. It's been many years since I have seen any of you, but I have fond memories of Mrs Ptak from Gansevoort Blvd. May God rest her soul and give you all peace. Memory Eternal Henry Habib and Family

Dear Frank and Family. So sorry to hear about Mary. Mary was a true Nurse whether caring for patients in a hospital or family members and friends at their homes. She was always there for everyone and never complained. May she rest in peace knowing that she lived her life doing what she truly loved--nursing.
