I was 4 years younger than Mary Lou, we were cousins. Even though I didn't get to hang out with her it was always so exciting to see it hear about her. She was an amazing person, fearless. I remember when I saw her picture in the paper when she saved the guy from drowning and the feeling of pride and how excited I was to be able to go see her perform at the phillipsburg high school. And what an awesome performer she was. Our love and prayers go out to your family in this time of great loss....

I knew Mary Lou when we were kids we were cousins. last time I saw her was at least 40 years ago.
Out bar hopping one night at either the jabberwoky or scurvy irvs up by Belvidere NJ . They introduced the band and lead singer Mary Lou Pyatt. I said hey that's my cousin. We talked a little and then lost contact again. Mary Lou you were awesome and inspiring . My love and sorrow goes out to your family and bless you Mary Lou we never know what we lose till it's gone.
