Mary Louise Rasmuson was like a mother to me. With her husband they put me, a poor Nigerian student, now a US citizen, through college in Florida and California. To say that I will miss her is an understatement. May God welcome her home. She was a perfect lady, with a generous heart and incomparable beauty. Too bad she could not live for ever; the world has lost a genuine loving philantropist. My family has lost its patroness.

I did not know Mary Louise, but as a retired Marine officer, I am proud to know that women of such fantastic ability serve our country and leave behind a legacy for all to enjoy.

To the Rasmuson family, I am so sorry for your loss. Mary Louise was such a wonderful lady. I only met her a few times when she would come to the hair salon where I worked the front desk. I would greet her and take her coat and hang it up for her and we would have small talk while she waited. She was always kind and always had a smile. She was very much a Lady and I so admired her.
