Mary Ann Redder, age 71, of Manistee, formerly of Hudsonville and Allendale, lost her battle with cancer Friday morning, July 31, 2015, and went to her home in heaven.
Born Mary Ann Feikema in Kent County's Courtland Township on October 18, 1943, she was the daughter of Clarence and Minnie (Oldenkamp) Feikema. She was a graduate of Rockford High School - Class of 1961.
She was a member of Faith Covenant Church of Manistee.
Mary Ann will be dearly missed by her husband and best friend of nearly 50 years, Dennis Redder, daughter Dana (Bob) Adams of Belding, their daughters, Shelby, Paige, Taryn, Phaedra & Hannah; son Dirk Redder of Holland. She is also survived by her siblings, Don & Joan Feikema, Berdena Visser, and Clarence & Carolyn Feikema; her in-laws, Edna Feikema, Esther Feikema, Jim & Sandy Ver Strate, Ron & Francis Redder and Darl & Diane Redder, and by several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Herman & Fred Feikema.
Mary Ann was retired having worked for the Jenison Hudsonville Food Service for 25 years, retiring in 2004.
Mary Ann was known for being a great cook and seamstress. She was a selfless, caring and giving, even in her final days.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 8th at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Covenant Church in Manistee, with Rev. Marc Eix officiating. Burial will be in the Floral View Memorial Park in Grandville, Michigan.
The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 9:30 a. m. until time of services.
The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, those wanting to remember Mary Ann consider a gift in her memory to either Munson Hospice of Cadillac or Lighthouse Pregnancy Center.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation of Manistee.
