Mary A. Rigdon

Mary M. Rigdon, 79, died at 1:52 p.m. Jan. 7, 2011, at Shawnee Manor in Lima. She was born May 11, 1931, in Milan, Mich., to John M. and Margaret J. Evans Elliott. Ms. Rigdon was a homemaker and she volunteered at the Golden Living Nursing Home. She enjoyed playing bingo. The family would like to thank her special caregiver and closest friend, Janice Rumbaugh, for her many years of love and support. Survivors include two sons, Phil (Peggy) Rigdon of Findlay and Gary L. Rigdon of Findlay; a brother, Dale (Jeneen) Elliott of Ottawa; two grandsons, Gary Rigdon and Philllip Rigdon Jr.; seven granddaughters, Ruby Rigdon, Missy Wables, Daniel Rigdon, Andrea Johnston, Lisa Lymon, Angie (Eric) Swinehart and Shelly Mackey; She was preceded in death by nine brothers and a sister. Services will begin at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Chiles-Laman Funeral Homes, Eastside Chapel. The Rev. Eric Swinehart will officiate. Burial will be in Carmen Cemetery, Gomer, at a later date. Friends may call from 2 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Chiles-Laman Eastside Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
