I "second" Carol's (my sister) remarks. Aunt Mary was the BEST. It was unbelievable that she would bring an entire meal to us on a Sunday afternoon, and she made the best turkey stuffing and cole slaw!! In addition to that, we'd get rolls of quarters, and trips to Ocean Beach, but it wasn't the material things that made Aunt Mary special...it was her demeanor...always laughing...always kind! There aren't too many like her. She made our childhood great! So sad that she got Alzheimer's. She was...

How sad to hear of Aunt Mary's passing. Some of the best childhood memories are of her and Aunt Teddie driving down to Hamden with a full course dinner in the back seat. The turkey would still be hot by the time she got to our house. And the goodies! There was no one kinder than Aunt Mary. Alway's laughing, always smiling.
Sleep over's on Clover Circle, now that was fun! You were like a grandmother to us.

Betsy and I were saddened to hear of Aunt Mary's passing. I have fond memories of her weekly visits to our home on Coleman Street and later Jordan Terrace. She was a fun person to have around especially at the William's family reunions and visits to "Parky's" on the Niantic River.

My condolences are with you at this time of sorrow.

I voluntered at Fairview, and am an Odd Fellow, Stonington Lodge, and Mary and I had many good time together. She used to help me with the words to the old songs that I did not know, or were before my time, that the patients loved to sing. It seemed like she knew them all.

We also had many, many discussions regarding the old New London, where we were both natives of. I learned so much of its history from Mary....
