Mary RODGERS

Mary was my secret sister at First Christian Church for a certain period of time. When I drew her name, I knew who she was but that was about it. A secret sister is another lady from the church who you pray for daily, and send a card or gift each month. I had fun trying to nonchalantly ask Mary questions in order to know what she might like or need prayer for. The Sunday after our 'reveal party' Mary thanked me for being her secret sister, and Tom was so surprised! Evidently he didn't...

I was admitted to the hospital the same day as Mary. We wound up in the same room. We both go to the same church but did not know each other that well. It was a blessing to be in the same room with her. We talked about our families, our faith and our lives. I am so sorry for your loss. Joan Andersen.

Mary was one of our faithful choir members at First Christian. How she loved to sing. It was a privilege to be her choir director. She will be greatly missed.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. Mary was such a sweet lady. We loved to hear her laugh. She will be truly missed at Chulavista Landings.

Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and your loved one today and always.
