Mary Roman

I was very saddened to learn of Mary's death. I was watching Morning Joe when her passing was announced. I worked for five years with Mary in the Loan Department at Merchants Bank & Trust in Norwalk. She was always kind and friendly. My family moved out of the area. I had a chance to catch up with her on a phone call to the Town Clerk's Office to request a copy of a birth certificate. Her athletic pursuits in her senior years are an inspiration.

My 87 year old Mother saw this sad news on the national news in Maryland. She and my father spent many happy days at senior track and field events with Mary Roman. Sending you our sincere deepest sympathy at your families loss. Mary Alice Stookey from Maryland.

My mother, Marion Draper, valued her friendship with Mary greatly. I was very saddened to see this notice. It reminded me of all of my Mom's wonderful relationships from Merchants Bank and beyond.

Mary and I go back to the years at Merchant Bank in Norwalk....she was always kind and considerate, a good human being...my thoughts and prayers go out to her family...God will be waiting for her with open arms!
