Dorothea Stevenson Obituary

Dorothea Matthews Stevenson, 76, died Saturday, Sept. 17, 2005 in North Oaks Medical Center. She was a native of New Orleans and a resident of Metairie. Mrs. Stevenson was employed with the archdiocese of New Orleans and was a parishoner of St. Mary Magdalen Church in Metairie. Survivors are her husband, Bruce Alden Stevenson of Metairie; three sons, Kent Matthews Stevenson of Greshan, Ore, Mark David Stevenson of Ponchatoula and Scott Alden James Stevenson of Metairie; two daughters, Karen Elaine Stevenson Allee of Grand Junction, CO and Patricia Ann Stevenson Kennedy of Metairie; one brother, George Paul Matthews, Sr. of Shannon, Miss; 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jefferson John Matthews, Sr. and Columbia Josephine Angeline Montoli Matthews; a brother, Jefferson John Matthews, Jr. and a sister, Elaine Joy Matthews. Relatives and friends of the Family are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. (in Metairie Cemetery), on Monday, June 5, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in All Saints Mausoleum.
