Sister IJ was one of the classic nuns at Mount Mary College. I will always be grateful for the unyeilding kindness, compassion and encouragement she offered. This is true of all of the fine School Sisters of Notre Dame at Mount Mary College. My heartfelt condolences to Sister I.J.'s entire family and specifically, to her nephew Tom, who is a dear friend from high school. My twin sister Lindy and I were blessed to have Sister I.J. in our lives during our college years at Mount Mary. Sister I.J.'s kindness and beautiful smile will forever be remembered. Thank you Sister I.J. for touching my life!

While I never had Sister I.J. as a professor, I do remember her cheerful and energetic spirit. The community has lost one of the "great ones". May the image of a glorious reunion in heaven be a comfort to all who knew her.

She was spunky and brilliant and a truly marvelous woman. She brought life to the Academic Resource Center.
