I met Mary when I dated her son, Greg when we were in Pickwick Players and high school. I have always remembered Mary as a very pretty, kind, warm, and welcoming woman and I was deeply saddened to see that she had passed away. I found her obit quite accidentally as I was searching for contact info for Greg and, when I saw her face on the screen, I immediately knew who she was and many memories came flooding back.
Every time I visited Greg in the apartment in Midland, I was always welcome...

Years ago, when the world seemed kind of cold and dark, Gay provided a warm and wonderful ray of sunshine to me. She reawakened my confidence in my oil field career choice and kept me inspired with bright, happy and logical moral support. I'm privileged that she touched my life.

I was very sorry to hear about Gay. I extend my deepest sympathy to her loved ones in their loss.

Some people come into our lives and quietly go. Others stay awhile and leave footprints on our hearts and we are never the same. May God comfort Gay's family in their sorrow.

Gay was my mentor of sorts. I already had some back ground in the oil business when I started at Midland Energy Library. I had been laid off by Chevron and out of work for two years when Gay hired me and my self-esteem was pretty low. She taught me the art of being a geotech and finding the hard to find data. Over time she gave me more and more responsibly and built my self-esteem. I moved on and became the manager at Geomap Company office in Midland for 13 years. Now I'm back following in...
