If I missed most of the show I always made my way to see her come out and receive her flowers. It was a special treat if she was going to dance. A very special lady. As long as there is dance Ms. Mary Lou will be remembered.

Mary Lou was an institution in Mobile for almost a century. She walked with such an elegance & charm, teaching her students the art of dance & social grace. I remember her mother, Mrs. Sheffield manning the entrance of the studio. Mobile is indebted to her for her love of the arts.
