Not sure what to say?

My deepest sympathies go out to the West and Sherlock families.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and Mary Ann's family. While I did not have the opportunity to meet her, I can tell she was an amazing woman and mother.

Where to start? I thought of Mary Ann today and tried to find her as we had not talked for several years, and I found myself missing her. I have been overwhelmed with disbelief and sadness to discover she has passed away. So much so, I dragged out some old pictures of me, Craig (in his "Phish" days), John, and Mary Ann back when we were all just friends. Mary Ann and I lived together in Richmond for 2-3 years. Wow. Mary Ann was talented, giving, amazingly intelligent, unconventional, ...

MaryAnn was an amazing, strong woman, who I have looked up to from the moment I met her. She taught me so much in the short few years of our friendship, and I will always be grateful for having her in my life. I will truly miss my dear friend.

What do you say at a time like this? I have been so saddened by Mary Ann's passing, however I am so grateful to have known her. Although I too haven't seen her for several years, I considered her one of my dearest friends. She and I met while working at a little restaurant in Richmond, VA while we were in college. We shared so many good times together. We laughed until we cried and sometimes we cried until we laughed. She has been an inspiration to me and will be in my heart forever. My...

My thoughts and prayers continue to be with your family. Mary Ann was an amazing woman whose life touched the hearts of people all over the country. I shall always remember summer camping trips on the Cowpasture River with a smile. May you continue to feel God's love and strength through the thoughts and prayers of so many who love you.

I haven't seen Mary Ann in many years, but was so saddened to hear of her passing. My husband and I both went to high school with her, and have many memories. Our deepest sympathies are with your family at this difficult time.

Mary Ann was an incredible woman, and she imparted many lessons to so many others. Her daughter Annie will always know what kind of woman her mother was. Mary Ann set the bar high, and will always be remembered and revered by those of us lucky enough to have known and loved her.

I was truly my pleasure to have met and worked with Mary Ann at Kiva Kitchen and Bath. You fought a long hard battle against what many would have thought insurmountable odds, but you, Mary Ann, persevered. Your legacy will live on.
