Sister Mary Frances Sidebottom

To the Srs. of St. Joseph and the Sidebottom Family,
Sr. Frances and I started teaching at St. Peter's in Worcester, MA. I always remember that I was to have the Fourth-Fifth grade and she was assigned to teach First grade. Our Superior, Sr. Charlres Borremeo, took one look at me, (height 5' tall) and one look at Frances (around 5'8") and immediately switched us. My favorite Sister Frances Sidebottom quip "Practice doesn't make perfect, PERFECT practice makes perfect." She was one of my favorite teachers at St. Michael's in Northampton. Almost daily I use many of the skills she taught me. 35 years later she still has an impact on my life. I was so happy that I had the opportunity to thank her about 10 years ago when I saw her at Mt. Marie. Peace be with you Sister.
