Mary Ellen Simonovich

Lived next door to the Simonoviich family growing up. Went to school and played with BJ, Carol, and Donny as a youngster. Worked briefly for Mr. Simonovich at US Steel not too long after high school. Both always had kind words and always made you feel welcome in their home. One of the earliest memories was Mrs. Simonovich providing medical aid and comfort to my mother who had severely cut her leg on a piece of glass until the rescue squad (pre paramedics) could arrive. Mary Ellen was a wonderful and fun person who raised an extraordinary family! I remember the first time I met her back in 1980 and we were at a party where she joined in the conga line of us crazy college kids....she was so much fun to be with and I loved her instantly.
Mary Jo, Janet and all of her family....Please except my heartfelt sympathies in the the loss of your Mother and know should you need to talk to me or to come up to help you with anything I am but a phone call...

My sincere condolences to the entire Simonvich family. Growing up across the street, I have great memories involving Mrs. Simonvich. She was always welcoming and warm and it was nice to know I could just walk right in without a knock! Over the years I have appreciated music from the Great American songbook, and I think of Mr.& Mrs. S. every time I hear The Mills Brothers sing. You all are in my thoughts and prayers.
